About Linda

I’ve had pets for most of my life, they have a special place in my heart because they don’t hold you to a time table, they just want to spend time with you….

I started my career in companion animal care in high school as a veterinary assistant at an Animal Hospital during my co-op course (working after school and on the weekends as well), the variety of emergency cases taught me to keep calm and do what’s best for the patient…

While working at the animal hospital, I attended the Toronto School of Dog Grooming to become a groomer, this opened a whole new avenue to be able to express my creativity while delighting the human clients with their pet’s fantastic new “look”…

I then conceived of going into business myself as a groomer and successfully secured a Youth Ventures Loan to start my dog grooming salon “Canine Clips” in Arnprior, Ontario. I owned this business for 5 years and then decided I needed some “real world” business experience. I sold the salon and joined a North American company becoming an Account Manager and through many promotions became a Global Account Manager for the last 4 years.

During this time I have remained a “diehard” canine sporting enthusiast, breeding Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, showing professionally in obedience, conformation and working retriever trials. These experiences have taught me a respect for the different dog personalities and utilizing various methods of communication with my canine partners to achieve the best results in all sporting events. Also for my human clients helping them achieve their aspirations for their canines.

Mobile pet grooming is a recent trend in Canada and speaks to our current way of life as busy working and retired professionals with many demands on our time.

Today’s Canadian pet owner requires flexibility and a pet professional which works with their companion animal as a unique personality, developing a relationship of trust and relaxation….
